The Cinnamon Bear was a delightful children's adventure series that was first broadcast on November 26 through December 25, 1937. The show was created by a group of merchants as an advertising promotion, and was recorded in only a few weeks. It was produced by Lindsay MacHarrie, who also provided the voice of Westley the Whale and several other characters. Buddy Duncan played the Cinnamon Bear, Barbara Jean Wong as Judy Barton, and Verna Felton as Mother Barton. Despite the best efforts of many fans over the years, the name of the young actor who played Jimmy Barton remains to be discovered. The Cinnamon Bear was specifically designed to be listened to between Thanksgiving and Christmas. There were a total of 26 chapters, 15 minutes each. All episodes began at Thanksgiving and ended at Christmas, with one episode airing each night.
